Privacy Policy

How Campus Compass collects, uses, and protects information processed through the Platform.

Effective Date: January 1, 2025

Campus Compass (“Campus Compass,” “we,” “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of users who access or utilize the Campus Compass Platform (“Platform”). This Privacy Policy applies to administrators, staff, employees, and other authorized users whose access is provisioned by a participating organization.

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Information you or your organization provides (e.g., name, email, role, access lists).
  • Technical data such as device type, browser, IP address, and usage patterns.
  • Configuration data including the custom apps, links, and resource structures your organization chooses to expose through Campus Compass.

Campus Compass is not designed for direct student use and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

  • To operate, maintain, and improve the Campus Compass Platform.
  • To provide single-click access to applications, links, and other configured resources.
  • To support authentication, security, and performance monitoring.
  • To assist with technical support and respond to inquiries.
  • To comply with applicable laws and contractual obligations.

Campus Compass does not sell or rent user data to third parties.

We may share information only as follows:

  • With participating organizations to support administration and access management.
  • With vetted service providers that support hosting, security, or operations.
  • When required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights and safety.

Information is retained only as long as necessary to provide services or comply with legal and contractual requirements. Upon termination of an organizational relationship, information may be securely archived or deleted pursuant to Campus Compass data retention protocols.

Terms & Conditions of Use

Rules governing access to and use of the Campus Compass Platform.

Campus Compass is provided exclusively for administrators, staff, and other authorized personnel identified by participating organizations. By using the Platform, you agree to comply with these Terms as well as your organization’s Acceptable Use and technology policies.

You agree to:

  • Use the Platform only for lawful and work-related purposes.
  • Protect your login credentials and avoid sharing accounts.
  • Report suspected misuse or security incidents promptly.

You may not:

  • Circumvent or attempt to bypass security controls or access restrictions.
  • Introduce malware, malicious code, or automated scraping tools.
  • Use the Platform for commercial advertising, political campaigns, or personal solicitation.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to copy the Platform’s underlying code or design.

All Campus Compass branding, code, and user interface elements are the property of Campus Compass and its licensors. You are granted a limited, revocable right to access the Platform for authorized purposes only.

While Campus Compass strives to maintain high availability, the Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Campus Compass is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform.

Data Security Notice

Summary of how Campus Compass safeguards information processed by the Platform.

Campus Compass employs administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including:

  • Encrypted data transmission over HTTPS/TLS.
  • Hardened, access-controlled hosting environments.
  • Role-based access controls and logging for administrative actions.
  • Periodic security reviews and vendor risk assessments.

Campus Compass maintains an incident response program to investigate, mitigate, and notify organizations of security events consistent with contractual and legal requirements.

Data used by Campus Compass is stored in secure, access-controlled environments. Where data is transferred to third parties (e.g., hosting providers), Campus Compass uses contractual safeguards and industry standards.

Accessibility Statement

Campus Compass’ commitment to making the Platform usable by all authorized users, including individuals with disabilities.

Campus Compass is committed to designing the Platform with accessibility in mind and aims to align with WCAG 2.1 AA and applicable requirements such as Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

We continuously monitor feedback and may adjust the Platform to improve usability for users relying on assistive technologies.

Campus Compass supports standard browser zoom controls, keyboard navigation, and common screen reader behavior. Some content accessed via external links may be hosted by third parties with their own accessibility policies.
