Set the Stage To Engage: Room (Unity School)
Many teachers from Unity have had the opportunity to visit Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, and more will be attending this spring. We would like the opportunity to maximize our resources by creating a room that is designated for transformations. We would like the room transformations to coincide with our future STEAM room that is currently being constructed. This will be a resourceful way for teachers to collaborate and utilize the same room and supplies to reach students of varying grade levels. With this room, we would like to purchase room transformation supplies to create more themes that correlate with our lessons. Supplies may include manipulatives for hands-on activities, padlocks to create an Escape Room, flashlights for crime scene detective work, surgical masks and scrubs to dissect sentence parts, plastic tablecloths to decorate, lights to create different effects, etc. We would also like to purchase foldable tables and stackable chairs that could be used or stored away. We hope to enrich student learning while also creating a memorable experience with this hands-on, interactive approach.
